With a background in corporate finance, investments and product development, Vasja has more than 8 years of experience building and deploying highly functional digital solutions. Prior to Iryo, he held positions in UniCredit, 3fs, and Bitstamp. Vasja is a tested leader with a passion for blockchain & crypto-based product development.
A Senior Developer, Dominik has a proven track record of creating highly secure and robust backend systems. He specialises in Go, Erlang, PHP, Python, SQL & NoSQL databases. Before being appointed CTO of Iryo, he worked With Dspot, Spil Games, and 3fs. Dominik is the author of Tactycal, a server security assistant.
With a degree in philosophy, Peter is a natural problem solver. He has extensive experience in strategic consultancy, and large scale project management. He’s worked for organisations such as PlanetBIO, Infonet(A major medical IT systems provider) and 3fs. Peter is a certified associate AWS developer with a passion for Linux and Python.
Domen brings over two decades of senior leadership to the team. Before joining Iryo, Domen was the director of communications for Outfit7, as well as a journalist for two of Slovenia’s largest media outlets. He’s been the founder of a variety of start-ups as well as an NGO called Citizen D, which focuses on digital rights, privacy, and media literacy.
Andrej heads up Iryo’s UX & UI design team. Andrej is the co-founder of the successful mobile-app design firm, Calumaa. Before Iryo and Caluma, Andrej was a lead designer and project manager for Akrapovič, Marand, Povio and Iconomi, the world’s first decentralised fund management platform.
Tjaša holds a master’s degree in health management & economics. Previously, she was a medical journalist covering advances in digital health and has experience with a variety of digital healthcare systems. Tjaša is a current member of various international healthcare organisations including Startupbootcamp & FTR4H.
Matevž brings over a decade of software engineering experience to Iryo, he specialises in Go, Python, JS, Elm, Docker and Ansible. Prior to joining the team, Matevž held various other development positions, contributing to companies like Visionect, the world leader in electronic paper solutions.
Before joining Iryo, Mateusz was the technical lead for 3fs’ MDI initiative. He’s worked alongside the majority of the Iryo team on creating reliable digital infrastructure for other projects. Mateusz specialises in PHP and holds his MSc in Applied Computer Science.
Maja is Iryo’s main clinical advisor. She holds a PhD in human & medical genetics and has over 15 years of experiences in clinical practice and healthcare management. Currently, Maja leads a research unit and is a medical laboratory specialist. She’s also the diagnostics IT-manager and the point-of-care coordinator for the Community Health Centre in Ljubljana.
Brian is a business executive with more than 20 years of international healthcare experience. He’s previously worked for institutes like Johns Hopkins in the United States, the Bumrungrad Hospital in Thailand and Tawam Hospital in the United Arab Emirates. He was the founder and CEO of Asia Bio Systems, a leading biomedical engineering company in the Asia-Pacific region. Currently he is the CEO of Ver2, a telemedicine provider based in Dubai.
Mate is Iryo’s openEHR advisor. While a the Slovenian Ministry of Health, Mate was in charge of developing and deploying eHealth projects within the nations hospitals. Currently, he has a leadership role in the Center for Healthcare Informatics at the National Institute of Public Health. Mate is a strong supporter for the wider adoption of the openEHR standard.
Lea is a clinical pharmacist and experienced ICT Business Architect. She’s is also a strategy consultant for software integration in the fields of pharmaceutical robotics and healthcare automation within hospital systems. She works as an independent consultant in Europe and Australia.
Homero is a medical innovator who’s a co-founder of several mHealth startups and is the co-director of Stanford’s open online-course on mHealth. He is a founding member and the vice-president of the Wearable Technology in Healthcare Society. He recently published a new book called, Digital Health: Scaling Healthcare to the World.
Moka is a physician, scientist, and social entrepreneur. He’s currently focusing on transforming healthcare in many African countries. Dr. Lantum is driving the adoption eHealth & mHealth solutions in an effort to improve access to healthcare. He holds a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Yaoundé, received a Diploma in Nutrition and International Child Health from Uppsala University, and a Doctorate in Pharmacology, from the University of Rochester. He obtained his Masters in Health Care Management from the Harvard School of Public Health.
Tomaž is an experienced tech entrepreneur. He’s a co-founder of Layer, a communications startup that raised over $30 million in funding and was backed by Microsoft Ventures, Greycroft, SV Angel, and AME Cloud Ventures. Prior to Layer, Tomaž founded Vox.io, one of the first cross-platform messaging and VoIP platforms. He’s also helped create several value-added services for Marand, a Slovenian healthcare company. Tomaž is currently a resident at Matrix Partners, a private equity firm based in San Fransisco.
